Based on 1 Corinthians 8:8a
Lord, we know food will not bring us closer to you, and yet, without food, focusing on you is so very hard. Therefore, we devote these gifts today for both hungers – the hunger of the belly and the hunger of the soul. Bless all with the feeling of fullness. Amen.

Loving God, we give you what belongs to you: our hearts, souls, and minds. These tokens of our love we offer in hopes you will use them to share love with all people. Amen.

Holy God, you are refuge to the poor, and shelter for the needy. Use these gifts we offer you today to let your gentleness, through us, to be known throughout all the earth. Amen.
Joseph said to the brothers who wronged him, ‘I myself will provide for you and your little ones.’ Holy God, we offer these gifts as freely as Joseph did. Let our gifts and our hearts go out to provide your love and mercy to all people without judgment. Amen.
Based on Luke 12:13-21
Holy God, you have told us not to build bigger barns for our crops, but to share. We offer these tokens of gratitude for all you have given us, and ask you to send them to those whose barns, bellies, or hearts need filled. Amen.
Heavenly Lamb who is our Shepherd, we joyfully look forward to the day you wipe every tear from our eyes. Until that day, we will tend your sheep. Like Dorcas, we offer our gifts to you to be used for caring for others. Bless everyone who receives, gives, and witnesses generosity in your name. Amen.
Offertory prayer on Ruth and Naomi
Merciful God, you have told us to go the extra mile and to pledge to one another ‘Where you go, I will go.’ We pray today for all who seek safety and ask you to use these offerings to provide places of refuge. Bless us with the strength to walk with our neighbors and strangers in their journeys questing after you. Amen.
